We are seeking RNs to help lead our front line team responsible for COVID-19 vaccine administration and testing.

The RN Clinical Support performs nasopharyngeal swabbing (nasal swab) tests, laboratory specimen collection, pre and post preparation, and vaccine administration for employees, patients, and the general public. This is an ever-changing project with multiple opportunities for process improvement and diversification.

The RN Ambulatory Lead is a direct front line staff management opportunity, with a focus on infection control, workflow improvement, and employee/patient safety.

Respiratory Therapist Tina Schubert became our first employee to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Dr. Ann Sheehy and care team leader Mavic Tjardes were also part of the first group of frontline staff vaccinated.

About our new Testing and Vaccination Site

UW Health relocated its drive-through testing operations to an indoor facility on the east side of Madison at 3819 John Wall Drive. UW Health has made a long-term commitment to drive-through testing as a convenience for patients who regularly express satisfaction with this option for flu shots, COVID-19 tests and vaccine.
