We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to:
  • Audit employee and physician expense reimbursements to follow IRS and UW Health policies and guidelines. 
  • Process invoices using the three-way match system. 
  • Process computer generated checks and electronic payments for UW Health and other affiliated business units, and auditing reports for check runs. 
Education:
Minimum - High School Degree or Equivalent
Preferred - Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience:
Minimum - Two years’ experience in Accounts Payable

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge of generally accepted auditing principles
Knowledge of Federal, State and ability to learn UWHCA accounting rules and regulations
High level of interpersonal communication skills
Competence in problem resolution Text

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:
This is a full time position. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
