We are seeking an Analytics Consultant – Ambulatory with:
  • The ability to analyze huge quantities of data and glean understanding and insight
  • The skill to develop a deep understanding and powerful displays of data
  • The curiosity to ask questions and ensure the answers are correct
  • The passion to dig into data and effectively articulate its end use
  • The ability to think critically, learn continuously and share ideas
Education:
Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Data Science or related field. (Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement)
Preferred - Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Data Science or related field strongly preferred.

Work Experience:
Preferred - Three (3) years of relevant data analysis or analytics experience, preferably in healthcare (provider or payor), including one or more of the following:
  • Code development using SQL or similar languages 
  • Epic Clarity in an SQL environment., Epic Chronicles, or Epic registry development 
  • Performance measure development 
  • Organization, analysis and modeling of multiple unstructured data sources 
  • Cost accounting, hospital operations analysis 
  • Healthcare or business administration/development, strategic planning 
  • Survey design and administration 
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred - Epic certifications in any subject area

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates professional maturity surrounding data access, data security, data sensitivity, and data confidentiality. 
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficient interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team 
  • Able to navigate a large organization in order to accomplish results 
  • Ability to initiate and follow through on complex projects of both short and long term duration 
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills. 
  • Proficient analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills 
  • Able to work independently, assumes responsibility for job development and training, researches and resolves questions and problems, requests supervisor input and keeps supervisor informed 
  • Completes projects of intermediate to substantial depth and complexity, works with customers at many levels in the organization 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 
  • Strong demonstrated learning aptitude and orientation 
  • Ability to teach, mentor and consult with others 
  • Demonstrated fluency with SQL 
  • Develop data/analytics competencies consistent with the role, and progress to capable or outstanding level in at least 5 competencies in domains including subject matter expertise, analytic methods and tools, business intelligence, data management, data architecture, analysis and critical thinking skills, data governance, analytics education/learning, ontology, and metadata 

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This position is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
