We are seeking an Applications Developer – Enterprise Monitoring to work on our Enterprise Visibility/ITSM agile development team supporting and developing our enterprise monitoring (ScienceLogic) platform.

You will work in all aspects of the enterprise monitoring platform and have proficiency with:
  • Server administration and networking concepts.
  • Developing, implementing, and customizing management packs, monitors, rules, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Identifying, analyzing, designing, and testing enhancements or bug fixes to the current systems management infrastructure to meet changing requirements and increase productivity.
  • Analyzing processes to establish technical guidelines and standards for enterprise monitoring.
  • Providing administrative support for configuration and proper operation of dashboard used by IS Helpdesk and technical teams.
  • Creating documentation and formalize procedures pertaining to the monitoring of the infrastructure.
  • Consulting with and provide recommendations to monitoring analysts.
  • Implementing integrations utilizing web service APIs.
  • Designing and utilizing relational database structures.
Also Preferred:
  • ScienceLogic Certified Professional or other ScienceLogic certifications.
  • An understanding of ITSM, ITOM, and ITIL concepts and frameworks.
  • A history of supporting your team members, avoiding complexity, and adapting to changes.
  • A demonstrated ability to work directly with end users to match solutions to their business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience as a member of an agile development team.
  • Experience with Enterprise Monitoring integration with ServiceNow/CMDB.
Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree. Four years of relevant experience in an IT infrastructure environment may be considered in lieu of a degree in addition to the experience below.
Preferred - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred.

Work Experience:
Minimum - Three years relevant experience working in technical support services or an Information Technology environment.
Preferred - Five years of experience in a Healthcare setting and experience in one or more of the following:
  • Platforms such as: ServiceNow; ScienceLogic; Log Insight; MobileView RTLS; xMatters and Paging
  • Network infrastructure services: installation, architecture, design, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance in a primarily Cisco equipped infrastructure
  • Designing, implementation and support of server infrastructure including physical servers, virtual servers, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure support
  • Managing, supporting, and maintaining server hardware, operating systems, and software in a Windows and Linux based environment.
  • Multiple radio frequency and real-time locating technologies.
  • Understanding of IT Operations and Service Management best practice and the ITIL Framework.
  • Agile software development methodology.
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred - PMP, PMI-ACP, ITIL, Cisco Certifications, MCSA, CCA or VCP certification

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Ability to resolve critical issues in a time sensitive manner, cognizant of requisite service levels.
  • Ability to establish trust and confidence; customer service focus with a high level of professionalism
  • Demonstrable experience in balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the of customers while meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
