Working as an independent healthcare provider, you’ll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team. 


We are seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to:

  • Perform assessments to evaluate AODA and other mental health related issues
  • Determine the level of AODA and mental health treatment needed for each patient based on appropriate diagnostic and patient placement criteria
  • Conduct individual and group AODA and mental health counseling, utilizing methods consistent with evidence based practice
  • Formulate and implement individuated treatment plans for each patient 
  • Arrange for and coordinate appropriate care when those services are not available within the Behavioral Health and Recovery Service System

Education:
Minimum - Master’s degree in counseling related field required.


Work Experience:
Preferred – Two (2) years of experience in an outpatient setting


Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Unrestricted Mental health license as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing Unrestricted certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), or the substance use disorder specialty granted with the LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, with the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing


Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

This position is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week.  Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm.  This position requires working at least one late night per week, but no more than two.  No weekends, on call, or holiday shifts.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
