We are seeking a Budget Analyst to:

  • Participate in the preparation of the hospital budget including revenue, personnel, non-salary expenses and capital budgets. Continue to monitor the actual vs. budget variances, as appropriate throughout the year.
  • Counsel department managers on operating and capital budget preparation and analysis, including training managers on budget software. Counsel department managers on operating and capital budget preparation and analysis, including training managers on budget software.
  • Identify opportunities and proposes changes to increase revenues and lower expenses.

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting or related field.


Work Experience:
Minimum - One (1) to two (2) years of relevant experience.


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Self-directed – proactively looks for improvement opportunities within the department.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and intermediate level ability to use computers and a variety of computer programs including database management, spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling and e-mail (e.g. Microsoft’s Word, Excel and Access).
  • Excellent organizational skills, independence and judgment.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Hours will need to be flexible due to operational needs.
