We are seeking a CNS:
  • Provide psychosocial and behavioral consultation support to staff, patients and families.
  • In collaboration with the Senior CNS Psychiatric Liaison coordinate the CNS Psychiatric Liaison Program throughout the hospital and clinics.
  • Maintain psychosocial nursing programs for patients and staff and lead the multidisciplinary psychosocial patient care team. 
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Education Department to develop and implement relevant education programs.
  • Work collaboratively with the UW School of Nursing and other allied health programs. 


Minimum - Master's Degree in Nursing


Work Experience:

Minimum - Minimum of five (5) years of relevant psychiatric nursing experience.  Experience in program development and coordination within a complex organization. 


Licenses & Certifications:

Minimum - Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Wisconsin.


Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Evidence of extensive experience providing expert psychosocial care.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills

Physical Requirements:

Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.  Even though the weight lifted may only be a negligible amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree.


Work Schedule:

  • 85% FTE
  • Day, Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • May be required to work outside of scheduled hours based on departmental needs.
