We are seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to:

  • Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex patients admitted to the adult or pediatric acute hospitals in the domains of swallow, speech, language and cognition
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans
  • Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center
  • Seek continual learning opportunities to advance one’s own practice and educate others


Minimum - Masters level degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders

Work Experience:

Minimum - Completion of Clinical Speech Language Pathology Fellowship

Preferred - Experience in a medical setting as a Speech Language Pathologist

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Wisconsin state license (or eligible) to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC - SLP). Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator within three months of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required. 
  • Organization, independence, time management, flexibility, and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance. 

Physical Requirements:

Light: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. 


Work Schedule:

Weekdays and/or weekends coverage based on the operational needs of the department.  Hours will range between the hours of 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.  Some holidays are required. There is a monthly minimum work commitment.
