We are seeking a Director, Revenue Cycle Operational Effectiveness and Technical Services to:

  • Identify, lead and manage a portfolio of projects designed to optimize the financial health of UW Health.
  • Perform ongoing evaluations of internal revenue cycle practices compared with industry best practices and lead the process for selecting best practices.
  • Oversee the UW Health chargemaster, charge capture and charge routing activities.



Education:

Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area such as Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field.

Preferred - Master’s degree in a relevant subject area such as Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field.


Work Experience:

Minimum - Five (5) years of relevant experience in a health care business setting and at least three (3) years of experience in a related leadership role.

Preferred - Eight years of management or consulting experience in a medical group practice or hospital revenue cycle for a large, complex health care environment including experience in an academic medical center.


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues.
  • Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations
  • Demonstrated innovative approach to problem resolution
  • Experience in financial and programmatic presentations
  • Ability to function independently and deal with multiple, simultaneous projects


Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

This full time, 40 hours per week, position will have shifts scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Other hours will be required to meet operational needs.
