Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.  Five (5) years of accounting experience may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience below

Work Experience:

Minimum - Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a Finance, Accounting or a Business-related field.

Preferred - Three (3) years of progressively responsible management or supervisory level experience in a Finance, Accounting or Business-related field.  Two (2) years management or supervisory experience in finance specific to health care in a large acute care medical center. Experience in GASB accounting standards

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of modern health care administration, practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) and governmental regulations as applied to modern health care financial management.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

Shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
