Physical Therapist - Orthopedics

Join our dedicated team in delivering evidence based practice to individuals with orthopedic dysfunction.

We are seeking an Orthopedic/Spine Physical Therapist to: 


  • Form alliances with patients and their families with the common goal of optimizing function following acute and chronic episodes of pain and dysfunction as well as surgeries.
  • Collaborate with other providers in coordinating patient and family care across multiple services.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor on a rotating basis to assist in development of our future colleague.




Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required.

Work Experience:

Minimum - Prior healthcare experience

Preferred - Two (2) years prior relevant experience

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin is required.


Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator is required within 3 months of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 


  • Familiarity with a variety of equipment, including computer software, is required. 
  • Organization, time management, flexibility, and positive attitude are crucial to successful performance. 

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week

The UW Health Spine Physical Therapy Department is open for patient care:

  • 7:00 am-6:30 pm Monday-Thursday

  • 7:00 am-5:30 pm Friday
  • This position requires a shift ending at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  •  Team members will work a schedule within these hours of operation.

  • Weekend rotation and some holidays
