Minimum - Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or other Behavioral health related field.

Preferred - Clinical Psychologist (PhD), APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Graduate), or RN (BSN) with Behavioral Health experience

Work Experience:

Minimum - Five (5) years of relevant and progressive leadership/management experience in Behavioral Health

Preferred - Experience in dual diagnosis programming

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum – 

  • Unrestricted Mental health license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), or license eligible in the State of Wisconsin
  • Unrestricted certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), or the substance use disorder specialty granted with the LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, with the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS), or license eligible in the State of Wisconsin (Two or more years’ experience treating substance abuse disorders may be considered in lieu of substance abuse certification)

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in applying analytical decision-making skills to assess and resolve complex problems and issues
  • Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff
  • Ability to address and manage conflict in a direct and professional manner
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with providers
  • Ability to evaluate/perceive situations from others’ perspectives to effectively resolve problems
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven track record in establishing consistent structure, while also demonstrating the ability to be flexible as needed

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

This full time position will have shifts scheduled Monday-Friday during regular work hours. This position oversees 7-day per week positions for inpatient. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
