We are seeking a Registered Nurse to: 

  • Collaborate with hematologists and oncologists to provide treatments for cancer patients using the latest research and advanced knowledge
  • Assess, educate, and guide patients  throughout their diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship
  • Bring their experience in inpatient or outpatient oncology, hematology, or bone marrow transplant

Education:

Minimum – Associate’s degree in nursing

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing


Work Experience:

Minimum - One year relevant oncology, hematology/BMT or Gynecology oncology clinical experience.


Preferred - Two years relevant oncology or hematology/BMT or Gynecology oncology clinical experience and Chemotherapy certification.

Ambulatory experience. OCN certification within one year of employment.


Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin; CPR certification

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

·    Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.

·    Experience in teaching patient and families

·    Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.


Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


Work Schedule:

80%FTE, 32 hours. Day, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts with rotating start times between 07:30 - 10:30 AM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
