Minimum - Graduate of a baccalaureate, associate or diploma nursing school

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing


Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of experience with moderate sedation in a setting in which this experience was used frequently (i.e., Critical Care, PACU, Emergency Department, Intermediate Care, or GI)

Preferred - Two (2) years of experience with moderate sedation in a setting in which this experience was frequently used (i.e., Critical Care, Emergency Department or GI)


Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. BLS/ACLS certification  


Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area.

  • Experience in teaching patients and families.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to effectively delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team members.    

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.


Work Schedule

  • 100%, 40 hours per week.

  • Days, Monday through Friday with start times varying between 6:30 am and 9:00 am.

  • No weekends, holidays or call.

  • Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
