Education:

Minimum – Graduate of a baccalaureate, associate or diploma nursing school

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

 

Work Experience:

Minimum - One (1) year of relevant clinical experience

Preferred - Hemodialysis, ICU or Med/Surg experience

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin; CPR certification; Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and current car insurance

Preferred - Nephrology Nurse Certification (CNN); Dialysis Nurse Certification (CDN); ACLS

 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of care within practice area

Experience in teaching patients and families

Excellent communication skills including ability to delegate to others, provide constructive feedback and resolve conflicts

 

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds

 

Other Physical Requirements or Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

Must be able to travel in a vehicle to each hospital

Frequent handling of needles and other small medical device components requiring the use of fine motor skills to perform essential job functions.

Must be able to tolerate full PPE requirements from long periods of time including mask, goggles or shield, impermeable jacket and gloves.

Must be able to frequently bend, kneel and twist

 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Saturday
  • Every other Saturday 
  • Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day (open all others)
  • On call required 
  • Day/Evening 

On Call Requirement:

Ability to be on call as required and respond according to policy. Call response time of 60 minutes.
