We are seeking a Security Consultant who has:

  •  A passion for new technologies and ability to think outside the box
  • An appreciation for standardization, automation, and cloud services
  • A desire for hands on administration of security tools and solutions
  • An interest in risk assessment and mitigation to minimize enterprise risk exposure and ensure business continuity

 

Education:

Minimum - Bachelor’s Degree (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of)

Preferred - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred

 

Work Experience:

Minimum - 3 years relevant experience

Preferred - 5-7 years relevant experience in a healthcare setting Active Directory, Microsoft Security Controls, Cloud Security, Cisco Product Line, VPN, Intrusion Protection, IDM/IDVault

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Novell Identity Manager Administrator, Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

 

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

General understanding of security practices, technologies, and methodologies used in a network environment

General understanding of specific laws and regulations imposed on health care systems and academic medical centers

Understanding of PC and Server hardware and software in a network environment

Understanding of network operating systems, LAN characteristics, network topologies and components such as switches, hubs, and routers

 

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

 

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00  AM  - 5:00 PM

On-call rotation (1 out of every 9 weeks, and a holiday per year)
