Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, or a related editorial/communication field. 

Work Experience:

Minimum – Experience planning, developing and writing digital content.

Preferred - Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a progressively responsible position within web/development, marketing, public relations, journalism or other communications fields with accelerated, exceptional performance. Experience creating content optimized for search engines and using web-based content management systems. A plus: experience producing and editing digital video and other interactive media.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience creating clear, concise, engaging, audience-specific and action-oriented content catered to a variety of digital communication platforms
  • Ability to analyze and use data to identify trends, make improvements and measure success
  • High level of comfort mastering new technologies and using a variety of web-based content management systems and related applications
  • Ability to independently research issues and make effective recommendations using critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational/project management skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities and deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.


Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Additional hours may be required to meet operational needs.
