Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Position Highlights:

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join our 24-bed Level III NICU team in the UW Health SwedishAmerican Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.

Our Level III NICU is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers providing excellent and cost-effective care to our smallest patients.

In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a collaborative practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish plan of care; performance of invasive procedures within the NNP scope of practice; attendance at high-risk deliveries, transport and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.

Your clinical support includes the following:

• Team of six neonatologists and six NNPs.
• Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health are located in this beautiful facility and are available for consultation and collaboration.
• Maternal Fetal Medicine collaboration
• 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist
