Advanced Practice Provider: Cardiology

Position highlights

UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an advanced practice provider (APRN or PA-C) to join the busy cardiology team at our UW Health Heart Hospital in Rockford, Ill.

We are looking for a dedicated candidate to provide our patients with high-quality care in a team-centered environment. The advanced practice provider will be supported by our group as we continue to grow through new service lines and state-of-the-art procedures, including CardioMEMs and Watchman.

Your clinical support includes the following:

  • Collaborating closely with our cardiology team, comprised of electrophysiologists and interventional, general and invasive cardiologists.
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour days each week
  • Generous stipend for weekend and holiday hospital rounding
  • Blended inpatient and outpatient practice: Providing care to patients at our Heart Hospital and rounding on patients in the 350-bed UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital

As a UW Health in northern Illinois Advanced Practice Provider, you will join our team of more than 120 APPs who enjoy the following support:

  • Transformation nursing leadership with Magnet recognition, shared governance and professional practice models and a full practice authority committee
  • Professional Nurse Internship and Ambulatory Nurse Residency programs
  • Robust onboarding program that supports transition to practice for NPs and PAs

  • Competitive salary range (based on experience):
    • $115,716 to $125,228

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited PA program or completion of a master’s level advanced practice nurse program.
  • Active APRN or PA license from the State of Illinois and an active DEA license, or the ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
