Total Rewards

Salary is just one component of a broader compensation philosophy at UW Health. We call it “Total Rewards” because it showcases the many ways employees benefit — both personally and professionally — from joining the UW Health team.

Major components of Total Rewards

Pay and benefits

Compensation

We offer competitive, market-based pay across the board, based on the employee’s experience and education.

Health and dental Insurance

Comprehensive health insurance is offered to all employees.

Dental insurance, at no extra charge, covers preventive and basic restorative services.

Prescription coverage

Included with health insurance, these plans significantly reduce employee out-of-pocket prescription costs.

Vision insurance

Optional vision plans are available to help defray the cost of eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Disability and life insurance

Optional plans are available to financially protect employees and their families when catastrophic events occur.

Paid time off

We offer paid time off for vacation, holidays and two-week paid parental leave.

Adoption Assistance

Our new adoption assistance benefit reimburses employees for qualified expenses directly related to the adoption of a child.

Retirement

Robust employer-sponsored, tax-advantaged retirement savings plans are available to all employees.

We offer a bonus to employees who refer friends, former colleagues or others to apply for open, posted positions. The applicant must be hired for the bonus to be earned.

We can help when personal stressors become overwhelming. EAP offers 24/7 confidential support when employees have legal, financial, child care or other concerns.
