Advanced Practice Provider: Endocrine Surgery

Position highlights

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking an APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with RNFA) to assist our growing endosurgery team with procedures in the OR, as well as provide follow up care in an outpatient setting at our newly renovated Villagreen View Clinic.

Located in Rockford, Ill., this provider will work closely with our surgeons and health care team to provide remarkable care to our patients.

Your clinical support includes the following:

  • Assisting in endocrine surgical procedures as a first assist
  • Conducting pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists and other health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Developing and implementing patient care plans, including education on treatment and recovery
  • Providing follow-up care and monitor patient progress
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records

    • $113,765 to $125,394

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program
  • Active NP or PA license from the State of Illinois, or the ability to apply for such license prior to or upon program completion.
  • Certification as a First Assist (RNFA) for NPs
  • Candidates with experience in endocrine surgery or related fields are preferred
  • Strong clinical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with medical advancements and evidence-based practice
