The Nurse Aide/Nursing Assistant (NA) Apprenticeship Program is a training program designed for current UW Health employees, as well as, external applicants. Current employees will receive training on paid work time. Outside applicants will receive training on unpaid time. Students will participate in direct patient care tasks, processes, and procedures to assist members of a patient care team in providing a broad range of healthcare services to our patients as Nurse Aide/Nursing Assistant in a hospital setting.
We accept applications at all times of the year, cohort dates will be determined annually, and posted on the website. To apply, email the completed application and (if a current employee) Leadership Statement of Support to NAProgram@uwhealth.org.

Applying to the Program:
There are two avenues to apply to the program:
Apply as a Current Employee
If you are accepted into the program as an employee:
- There is no cost for the program. You are paid 40 hours a week while in the training program. There is a one-year work agreement.
To apply as a current UW Health employee:

Individuals who prefer to pay tuition with no commitment to work for UW Health, please fill out the application linked below. If accepted into the program via the student route, the cost of the program is $785.98. This fee is all-inclusive, though additional parking fees may apply during clinical training.
If you decide to apply to UW Health and get hired and sign the one-year work agreement as a Nursing Assistant, the cost of the program may be waived.
