Obstetric Hospitalist

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an experienced board-certified OB Hospitalist to join our team at UW Health Women and Children’s Hospital in Rockford, Ill. Our OB hospitalist team provides support to the employed Ob/Gyns of SwedishAmerican Medical Group, the women’s health practitioners of Crusader Community Health FQHC and to the University of Illinois Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program.

The opportunity:

  • 24-hour in-house shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m.)
  • Seven shifts per month
  • Provide emergency care, including supervision in our OB Emergency Department
  • Provide care for unassigned and FQHC OB patients
  • Provide backup care for the UIC family medicine team
  • No Gyn coverage

  • State-of-the-art UW Health Women and Children’s Hospital with 2,900 deliveries per year
  • 32-bed Level III NICU
  • Affordable small-town cost of living with quick access to Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago
