How do I know if my application was submitted?

Once you submit your application, you will receive an email notification.  There are three reasons you might not have received the notification.

  • The submit button at the end of your application was not selected
  • The email was sent to your junk/spam folder
  • Your email address was incorrectly entered on your application
Who can I contact if I'm having technical difficulties completing my application?

Call the Human Resource Service Center at (608) 263-6500 for assistance.

How do I check the status of my application?

Sign into your UW Health Careers account and select the “Manage Your Profile” tab to view the job status for your application(s).

What is the benefits package?

UW Health is comprised of two employers: University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation.

How do I learn the pay rate or salary for a position?

You can find pay range information listed in the posting for the position.  The pay range is listed as minimum and maximum for the position.

If you are selected to participate in a phone interview, the recruiter will discuss pay expectations during the interview.

Do I have to pay for parking?

If the position is at University Hospital (600 Highland Ave., Madison, Wis.) or areas surrounding it, you might have to pay for parking. There are two parking options available for employees:

    1. Park and Ride pass is available for purchase near the main hospital, which provides shuttle service to and from your vehicle.
    2. Individual parking permits are available for purchase for one of the surrounding lots near University Hospital.

Additionally, UW Health employees can request and receive Metro Transit bus passes at no cost.

When can I transfer to another role after being hired?

Employees must remain in their roles for at least six months before being considered eligible for transfer to another role within UW Health.

Can I apply for multiple jobs?

Yes, you are welcome to apply for multiple positions. However, please ensure you meet the minimum qualifications of the job and have a sincere interest in the position.

How do I login to my account?

You do not need to have an account to apply for positions with UW Health.

Get started by using your email or cell phone number. Your profile will be created and kept up to date automatically as you enter details for each of your job applications. Once an email address or cell phone number is entered, a verification code will be sent to the email or cell phone number to confirm your identity.

What if the opportunity I'm looking for is not available?
  • Sign up for our job alerts to receive a notification when the right opportunity becomes available.
  • You can also fill out a general profile. This allows our Talent Acquisition Team to view your resume and reach out to you when a job for which you are qualified opens.
When can I expect to hear back about my application?

The application process can take two to four weeks from the time you submit your application. You can also check the status of your application(s) through your profile on the UW Health Careers website.
