UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to join our Podiatry group in Rockford, Ill. We are looking for a dedicated candidate to provide our patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services and embody our mission:

We are seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to:
- Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient podiatry clinic
- Work collaboratively within a team consisting of physicians, medical assistants and RNs.
- Perform history and physical, pre- and post-operative evaluations, develop, manage and modify treatment plans.
- Serve patient populations of pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, heel pain, surgical patients and work collaboratively with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients.
- Perform procedures such as wound debridement, TCC placement, suture removal, cortisone injections and splint application/removal.
- See patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery
Qualifications
- Completion of an approved master’s level Advanced Practice Nurse program
- Completion of an approved master’s level Physician Assistant program
- Advanced Practice Nurse licensure in Illinois and certification by a national credentialing organization
