The Nephrology Fellowship Training Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison a two-year clinical program committed to providing fellows with comprehensive education in all aspects of nephrology in a congenial and highly collegial environment.

Nephrology Fellowship Information

  • UW Health’s Nephrology teamThree trainees are accepted to the program.
  • ACGME accreditation: Maximum cycle
  • Assigned rotations in acute nephrology consultation, chronic inpatient dialysis, outpatient dialysis, kidney transplant, ambulatory care for patients kidney disease, hypertension, transplantation, and renal stone disease
  • Elective rotations in interventional nephrology, renal pathology and interpretation of renal biopsies, transplantation, pediatric nephrology and kidney imaging

Applying to the Fellowship Program

Applicants must have completed residency training in internal medicine before beginning this fellowship. Applications must be submitted through the ERAS program and include:

  • Completed ERAS common application form
  • Three letters of recommendation (including one from your residency director)
  • USMLE or COLEX transcript
  • Medical school transcript
  • Updated CV
  • ECFMGE (for foreign med school grads)
  • Personal statement
