The UW Health PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency rotation schedule includes a combination of required and elective rotations to ensure that the resident is exposed to a variety of experiences, patient populations and interdisciplinary teams. The final rotation schedule will be tailored to the resident’s needs and interests.

- Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT
- Pediatric orientation
- Pediatric leadership management
- Precepting
- Pediatric medication safety (longitudinal)
- Clinic (longitudinal)
Elective rotations
- Drug Policy Program
- Pediatric neurology
- Pediatric nephrology
- Pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular intensive care
- Pediatric ambulatory pharmacy
- Pharmaceutical Research Center
Activities while on rotation will include, but are not limited to:
- Rounding with interdisciplinary patient care team daily
- Daily patient profile review
- Patient monitoring/problem solving
- Patient and caregiver education
- Investigation of medication error reports and adverse drug reactions
- Drug information and literature searches
- Team-related projects
- Communication and interaction with staff
- Contributing a member of the care team
- Medication order review and verification
