The residents in the UW Health PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency will participate as a member of the hematology/oncology team at UW Health and the UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center.
The UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin. In our ASHP accredited PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program, the resident will:
- Practice in both inpatient and ambulatory settings
- Participate in academic and preceptor programs through the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy
- Complete a longitudinal project suitable for publication
- Experience rotations tailored to the resident’s interests and needs while also meeting ASHP standards
Practice settings at UW Health and the UW Health | Carbone Cancer Center with rotation and staffing experiences include:
- 39-bed inpatient adult BMT/hematology/oncology unit
- Inpatient pediatric BMT/hematology/oncology unit
- Multiple ambulatory clinics, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecology-oncology, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, hematology, bone marrow transplant and cellular therapies
- Chemotherapy Infusion Center
- Academia and research experience
