The Medical Assistant (MA) Apprenticeship Program is an academic 10-month program available to current UW Health employees and external applicants. MA apprentices will receive education (classes) and hands-on application (clinical hours) as they develop their knowledge of the MA profession. This program is a paid apprenticeship, so you are paid while you attend this program. Upon completing the program, apprentices will sit for the national certification exam to earn the credentials of CCMA – Clinical Certified Medical Assistant.
