Program summary

The PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program at SwedishAmerican Hospital’s URAC-accredited Specialty Pharmacy builds upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities, including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications.

Our program aims to develop each residents’ professional, clinical and leadership skills through outpatient pharmacy services.  Training within SwedishAmerican’s URAC accredited Specialty Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy and various clinics provides a wide range of outpatient practice areas necessary to become leaders in pharmacy. Resident experiences are tailored to meet individual goals and expectations.
