APP Fellowship Program Director

Kristen Panther is the Program Manager for APP Education and Professional Development at UW Health. She is a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a clinical practice in General Internal Medicine and has been with UW since 2009 as an NP. She has precepted NP, PA and med students during most of that time and was awarded the Clinical Teaching Award from GIM in 2017. Additionally, Kristen worked in advanced practice education for more than seven years, with a special interest in training teachers to provide effective bedside education to clinical learners. She partners with the UW PA Program and UW School of Nursing frequently and guest lectures in both programs. She completed the UW Teaching Masters Course and jointly runs an interdisciplinary Preceptor Workshop that has national recognition.

APP Program Specialist

Emily Jumper is the Specialist for APP Education and Professional Development at UW Health. She provides project coordination and facilitation for continuing education, mentoring, professional development and educational offerings for all APPs throughout the UW Health system. Emily has a background in psychology and clinical mental health counseling and has a passion for student affairs in higher education. This passion was strengthened when coordinating clinical rotations with DNP students at UW-Madison. Emily enjoys working with learners, especially during times of transition, and looks forward to working with all future APP fellows.
