APP Fellowship Program Director

Anna Schmidt is the Program Manager for APP Education and Professional Development at UW Health. She is a Physician Assistant with clinical practice in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has been with UW Health since 2017. She has precepted PA and NP students during this time and was awarded the UW Health Advanced Practice Provider – Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021. She has worked closely with the Otolaryngology Residents on Academic Clinical Projects and has participated in many committees across the organization. She is co-chair for the APP Grand Rounds and interim chair for the Scope of Practice Committee. In the Program Manager role Anna oversees PA and NP student placements, Leadership development of the UW Health APP workforce and Fellow development. APP Program Specialist

Emily Jumper is the Specialist for APP Education and Professional Development at UW Health. She provides project coordination and facilitation for continuing education, mentoring, professional development and educational offerings for all APPs throughout the UW Health system. Emily has a background in psychology and clinical mental health counseling and has a passion for student affairs in higher education. This passion was strengthened when coordinating clinical rotations with DNP students at UW-Madison. Emily enjoys working with learners, especially during times of transition, and looks forward to working with all future APP fellows.
